Avete sempre voluto visitare i Paesi Baschi? Questo è l'articolo che fa per voi: un mini tour di 5/6 giorni, con le tappe e mete da non perdere.
1 - Bilbao. Città dal passato industriale, affacciata lungo il fiume Nervión, negli ultimi 20 anni (come mi ha detto un'amica spagnola, incontrata in uno dei tanti tour di pintxos) ha attuato un perfetto maquillage che la rende dinamica e godibile per un soggiorno di un paio di giorni. Un bella passeggiata lungo il fiume unisce le zone più interessanti della città: il Casco Viejo, l'originario centro di Bilbao ricco di bar e ristorantini, il quartiere La Vieja, oggi area multiculturale con locali e negozi alternativi, ed infine la zona più modaiola attorno al Museo Guggenheim.
Voglio segnalarvi il Cafè Bar Bilbao (Plaza Nueva 6) dove fare una serata dedicata ai pintxos, tutti a 2 € ciascuno. Assolutamente da provare la sfoglia con chorizo, formaggio morbido e marmellata di peperoni ed il pintxo con peperoni, tonno fresco scottato ed alghe fritte.

Thinking of visiting the Basque Country? Then this article is for you: a 5/6 day mini tour, with all the must sees and dos!

Day 1 -  Bilbao. Once industrial city overlooking the Nervión river, over the last 20 years Bilbao has gone through a total make-over turning the city into a dynamic and enjoyable place, perfect to spend a couple of days in. A beautiful walk along the river unites the most interesting areas of the city: the Casco Viejo, the original center of Bilbao packed with bars and restaurants, the La Vieja district, today a multicultural area with alternative venues and shops, and finally the more fashionable area around the Guggenheim Museum.
I suggest to stop by Café Bar Bilbao (Plaza Nueva 6) where you can spend an entire evening dedicated solely to pintxos (basque version of tapas) for just 2 € each!. A must try is the pastry one filled with chorizo, soft cheese and topped with capsicum jam. Also worth trying is the pintxo with bell pepper stir-fry, fresh tuna and fried seaweed.

La cucina basca rispecchia appieno l'identità del luogo. Le montagne, che caratterizzano per lo più il territorio, si uniscono alla costa ed all'oceano, riportando questo connubio in molti piatti e spuntini tipicamente Baschi. Ingredienti di mare come acciughe, sarde o tonno, si accostano spesso ad elementi di terra, dal jamon, alla pancetta affumicata, ai funghi. Uno stretto matrimonio di sapori come stretta è la vicinanza tra mare e montagna.
