After not even a full week's time in Krabi, the famous tourist magnet at the sea, we were in desperate search of less touristy islands. That is when we came to Trang, a sleepy little provincial town with very few tourists, all of which, just as us, were on their way to the nearby paradise islands still un-invaded by the mass tourism.

Non appena arrivate in Thailandia, a parte lo choc anafilattico da porcello, per un consumo smodato durante la prima settimana, abbiamo anche scoperto un piatto fantastico: l'insalata di papaya verde - in thailandese Som Tam.

Many years have passed since the first time I had heard the joyous news of my old friend's marriage, and finally, after I've been promising my self that "next year" I'd go visit him, here I am, sitting on his porch, having a delicious Thai dinner with his lovely family. And on top of all, we even learnt how to make the delicious Tom Yum Kung!
